OGM

Ogg Media (OGM) is a format created as a hack on the OGG format to provide a method of combining video with Ogg/Vorbis for DVD archival. Later Ogg established formal mechanisms for combining audio and video which are incompatible with OGM. Alternative formats like matroska have reached maturity since the creation of OGM. Both Ogg (OGV) and MKV now offer comparable features to OGM, although only MKV has good tools available for embedding patent encumbered video formats like H.263(XVID), and H.264. As a result OGM is officially deprecated[1] and no longer widely used.
